You rarely need specialist tools. You need a habit: ask the same eight questions, in order, before you react.

  • Every claim comes from somewhere. Finding the origin is usually faster than judging the content.

    • Who published the earliest version you can find?
    • Does the domain match the organisation it claims to be?
    • Is there a named person or team behind it?

Why it never says “this is fake”
