    Institutional email, a university confirmation, or a recognised student credential. You pick the route that suits your country and institution.

    Confirm one fact, not your whole identity

    The check answers a single question: are you currently a student at a recognised institution? Nothing else is required to answer it.

    See what is stored before you agree

    A plain-language summary lists every field kept, how long it is kept and how to delete it. Consent is a decision, not a checkbox you scroll past.

    Carry a badge, not a document

    Your profile shows Verified Student. The evidence behind it is not shown to other users and no identity document is retained.

What Oppspot stores

What it never stores

  • Passport, national ID or visa documents
  • Scans or photographs of any credential
  • Your date of birth or home address
  • Anything your institution has not been asked to confirm

Badges expire. A verified status describes a check made on a date, and Oppspot says so on the profile — the same principle applied to opportunities is applied to people.
